How to deal with a white line appearing in thermal printing?
When a normal thermal printer prints thermal paper, a white line may appear on the printed barcode, QR code or text after a long time. What is the problem?
This is because the print head has not been maintained. During the printing process, the print head may have stains, paper powder and other small dot-like residues on the printing surface for a long time. At this time, we need to use a cotton swab to lightly dip a little, gently wipe the surface of the print head, remember not to use too much force, because there is a protective layer on the surface of the print head, do not scratch it. After this cleaning, the print will be perfectly displayed again, and there will be no white line problem.
If there is no residue on the surface, why? If there is no residue, white lines will appear when printing, then the print head is worn. The reason for the wear of the print head is that the paper used is too rough. If you only care about using cheap paper, it will damage the print head. In particular, the high-polish paper produced by many manufacturers currently has a very high surface roughness, which causes great wear and tear on the print head. It is recommended to use paper with a higher density and a moderate surface smoothness, which will help to increase the service life of thermal printing equipment.
